We are working with the County Council to update its UDO, specifically adding or enhancing rural character protections, Flex and PD Zoning, Signs, Corridor Overlays, and Sub-Area Development Standards.
Outreach and Decision-Making techniques have included "Density-Visualization" exercises with County officials.
White Smith Cousino is assisting in the update of Charleston's Zoning Code, including implementation of City Plan and the City's 2019 SLR Projection Strategy.
WSC planners, along with White & Smith Zoning Law attorneys, worked with the Town of Kiawah Island to develop it first short-term rental standards and regulations.
Other short-term rental clients in SC include York County, Mount Pleasant, Hilton Head Island, and Charleston County.
