Kelly Cousino, AICP, has over 20 years of experience in local government and community planning. As a principal with White Smith Cousino, she specializes in crafting zoning and development codes and guiding cities and counties through the complexities of comprehensive plan implementation. Kelly’s work is rooted in a commitment to environmental responsibility and social equity, principles that shape both her professional approach and personal values.
Before joining the private sector, she served as a public sector planner for one of the fastest-growing small cities in the U.S., gaining firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities of rapid urban growth.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Kelly balances her dynamic career with the joys and chaos of raising a child. An avid traveler and dog enthusiast, she brings dedication, curiosity, and thoughtfulness to both her work and her life outside the office.
